Pittsburgh at St. Louis

St. Louis has controlled this series vs the Pittsburgh Pirates. After taking the opener on Monday the Cardinals swept a doubleheader yesterday with the Pirates scoring just twice in the entire twin bill. They will look for the sweep tonight behind Jack Flaherty. Flaherty has been the most successful pitcher on the Cards' staff when facing the Pirates. He has an 8-1 record backed by a stellar 2.22 ERA. The Cards have things rolling and the same can't be said for the Pirates. Pittsburgh will enter this game on a nine-game losing streak where they have been out-scored 49-21. Flaherty isn't the type of pitcher this lineup is suddenly going to break out against. I like St. Louis in this one.
