Pittsburgh at St. Louis

Pittsburgh has struggled in its first two games, but they have a terrific arm on the mound to turn things around. Mitch Keller ended last season with two strong performances against the Mariners and Cubs with a combined 10 innings, three runs, and 14 strikeouts. Overall in 2019, the kid had 65 Ks and 19 walks in 48 innings. He's a former Triple-A International League Most Valuable Pitcher, and the Cardinals have never faced him. St. Louis has won the first two games but hasn't started 3-0 since 2006. After facing starters Jack Flaherty and Adam Wainwright, the Pirates catch a break in facing young Dakota Hudson, a rookie last season. He is not a strikeout pitcher and walks a lot of batters (86 in 174+ innings last year). Pirates 1B Josh Bell went 6-for-8 with four doubles against Hudson, and this is a good bounce-back spot for the visitors. Play Pittsburgh.
