Pittsburgh at St. Louis

St. Louis beat the Pirates for the sixth straight time last night as Paul Goldschmidt hit a tiebreaking single and Marcell Ozuna then hit a two-run homer to give the Cardinals a 6-2 victory. Pittsburgh lost its sixth in a row and now has lost 22 of its last 27 overall and 22 of its last 29 road contests. Also, St. Louis is 21-8 the last 29 meetings and the Pirates are 5-11 in Joe Musgrove's last 16 road starts. The Cardinals have won five of Adam Wainwright's last six starts and, as usual, he has done his best work at home where he is 5-2 with a 2.26 ERA this season. The Cardinals are 46-20 in Wainwright's last 66 home starts and 13-3 in his last 16 home starts against the Pirates. Musgrove got clobbered his last time out giving up eight runs on 10 hits in 3 1/3 innings against the Mets. Back the Cardinals.
