Pittsburgh at San Diego

The Pittsburgh Pirates look to salvage game three of their series vs. the San Diego Padres. They have gotten good pitching in the first two games, but the bats have been silenced by even better efforts on the mound by the Padres. The Pirates have been on a skid, having lost nine straight games, and have dipped to seven games below .500. The Pirates have their best option on the mound with Mitch Keller, as they are 16-7 in his 23 starts on the season. Keller has been even better of late as the Pirates own a 9-2 record in his last 11 starts, and in his last nine starts, six of those opponents scored two or fewer runs. The Padres have a losing record in their last 30 games vs. the Pirates, and with their ace on the mound I like the Pirates avoiding the sweep. Make the play on Pittsburgh.
