This is starting to sound like a broken record, but the Pirates, when all is said and done, are going to be among the worst road teams ever to don a major league uniform. The ledger shows 15-57 on the season on the road. I certainly don't see that changing behind Paul Maholm and his 7-14 mark backed by a 5.37 ERA. His last eight road starts show a 1-7 mark for the Pirates. The Pirates, as bad as those numbers sound, are 9-44 in their last 53 on the road vs a righthand pitcher. The Mets have taken advantage of lesser teams at home where they are 40-15 against a team that has a road winning percentage under .400 and the Pirates have accomodated those numbers nicely at 0-5 in their last five here. I'll go with the Mets in this one.
