The Pittsburgh Pirates gave it their best shot last night, but as we have seen so often before, they simply lose on the road, period. Last night a nine inning shutout didn't net them a road win, and it moves them to 15-56 on the road for the season. Zach Duke, with his 7-13 mark and 5.43 ERA on the season, certainly doesn’t look like the remedy. R.A. Dickey has been the best and most consistent pitcher for the Mets all season. The Pirates have dropped to 8-45 in their last 53 as a road dog, and are now 15-50 in Duke's last 65 road starts. It doesn't get much uglier than that. I'll go with New York in this one.
