Pittsburgh at New York

We are at game 50 for both of these clubs, and not many would have pegged the Mets with an even record to the Pirates. The Mets have been a bit better than expected, while the Pirates have been an utter disappointment as a team with much greater expectations. The Pirates issues have been on the road, where their six road wins ties them for the fewest in MLB. Today they recall Brandon Cumpton, who has not been very effective at 0-1 with a 4.20 ERA in two starts. The Mets have gotten more from Jacob deGrom, who has yet to win, but owns a 2.57 ERA. The Pirates continue to show weakness vs. right handed pitching, at 5-16 in their last 21, and don't look like a team that should be favored slightly here. Play is on New York.
