Pittsburgh at New York

Pittsburgh scored six runs in the seventh inning and beat the Mets 7-4 on Tuesday night, as New York came ever closer to falling into last place in the NL East. The Mets are rapidly deteriorating as they allowed a walk, a hits-batsman and a passed ball all in that same inning. Tylor Megill starts tonight and he is 6-6 with a 5.64 ERA and 1.70 WHIP and he has given up 11 runs (10 earned) on 18 hits his past two outings in 10 innings pitched, including a 7-0 loss to Atlanta on Friday when he gave up six runs on nine hits in 5 1/3 innings. Johan Oviedo had three great starts allowing only two runs in 20 innings before losing to Cincinnati. New York batters are just 9-for-41 with no homers against Oviedo.
