Milwaukee beat the Pirates 7-1 on Saturday and scored all its runs in the first two innings, and the Brewers now are 20-9 the past 29 meetings overall and 85-33 the past 118 meetings at Milwaukee. Freddy Peralta has been spectacular so far this season, and the Brewers have won his last two starts, both against the Cubs. Peralta has allowed only one run in 13 innings on five hits. The right-hander pitched well at home in 2020 allowing only four earned runs in 14 innings with a .160 opponent batting average. Chad Kuhl has not been the savior that Pittsburgh was hoping for as he has been knocked around for eight earned runs in only 10 2/3 innings and hasn't lasted past the fourth inning in three starts.
