Pittsburgh at Detroit

Pittsburgh's hot start this season appears to be a fluke as the Pirates have lost 10 of 12 following Tuesday's 4-0 defeat against Detroit. Spencer Torkelson doubled twice to back Michael Lorenzen, who pitched six scoreless innings for the Tigers, who have been getting decent pitching lately and from their bullpen also. Today it's Eduardo Rodriguez and he has been one of the best pitchers in the majors this season with a 4-2 record and 1.57 ERA and 0.79 WHIP. Rodriguez has allowed only two run in 41 2/3 innings his past six starts, including a 5-0 victory over Cleveland last Wednesday when he did not give up a run on four hits in seven innings. Ancient Rich Hill did not make it past the fourth inning his last outing against Colorado and the Pirates have lost his past two starts. Pittsburgh has lost 30 of 41 interleague road games.
