Pittsburgh at Cincinnati

Cincinnati comes off a 5-4 win at St. Louis as Adam Duvall had three doubles and a single, and Joey Votto hit the tiebreaking single in the eighth inning. Amir Garrett had three quality starts in a row before running into a buzz saw in an 11-7 loss to Eric Thames and the Brewers on Monday. However, in his previous outing, Garrett struck out 12 and walked one while allowing two runs in seven innings against Baltimore. Gerrit Cole is 0-6 against Cincinnati with a 5.44 ERA the last three seasons, including 0-3 and 4.55 at Great American Park where the Reds are batting .283 against him. Pittsburgh lost 10-3 at Miami on Sunday, and the Pirates have lost 13 of their last 19 following a loss as well as eight of Cole's last 10 starts overall dating to last season.  Also, Pittsburgh has lost its last nine Monday games, and the Reds have won the last four meetings.
