The left-hander comes off a 9-1 win over Arizona last Tuesday while giving up only four hits with eight strikeouts. Pittsburgh has lost five of Chris Archer's last seven starts and he has been inconsistent since being acquired by the Pirates from Tampa Bay. Chicago hitters that have faced Archer are batting a combined .319 against him and he has a 4.78 ERA overall since the All-Star break. The Pirates have also lost Archer's last four road starts.
