Chicago scored on an error in the 11th inning and beat the Pirates, 6-5, on Thursday as Pittsburgh will look to bounce back today with Steven Brault, who is making his sixth start of the season. Brault has had success in three road starts while allowing two runs in 13 2/3 innings and will likely go four or five innings in this one. Alec Mills had given up seven runs on 12 hits in four innings against Kansas City before throwing 103 pitches on Saturday in eight shutout innings against the White Sox. Mills is 6-6 with a 4.32 ERA on the season and owns a hefty .298 opponent batting average at home. The Cubs are 18-42 their past 60 games and 7-15 their past 22 following a win.
