Pittsburgh at Chicago

Pittsburgh had several offseason departures on its pitching staff and that has left Chad Kuhl as the Opening Day starter against the Cubs. Kuhl had Tommy John surgery in September 2018, and finally returned last season and threw 46 1/3 innings. Interestingly enough, Kuhl limited the Cubs to two hits over seven shutout innings in his final start. The Pirates beat Chicago their final three meetings while allowing a total of only three runs last September and the Cubs ended the season losing six of their final eight games overall and their last four home contests. Kyle Hendricks was 1-4 with a 5.33 ERA in the month of April in 2019 and didn't get off to a particularly good start in 2020, allowing six runs on 10 hits in 13.1 innings in July. There is huge value on the road underdog here and I'm taking advantage. Play the Pirates.
