Philadelphia at Washington

The defending World Series champion has been reduced to just playing out the season as Washington is floundering in last place in the NL East with a 21-32 record and going nowhere. Meanwhile, Philadelphia is fighting for a playoff spot and needs to bounce back from Monday's loss when it was held to one run on six hits. This is the second game of a doubleheader and going into today's games, the Nationals had lost six of the last seven meetings, including a four-game sweep by the Phillies earlier this month. Philly is 12-5 its last 17 games as a favorite and Washington is 8-18 its last 26 home games. Also, Washington is 6-15 its last 21 games against NL East teams. Philadelphia can't afford any losses while the Nationals are looking toward next year. Take the Phillies.
