Philadelphia at Washington

The Phillies have packed in this lost season, and starter Tyler Cloyd (2-4) has been struggling with an 0-2 record and a 7.80 ERA his last three starts. Cloyd has allowed five runs or more in three of his last seven starts.  Cloyd endured a rough outing as he took the loss Tuesday night against the Padres. The right-hander was charged with seven runs on nine hits and no walks while striking out four over four innings of an 8-2 defeat. The Phillies are 7-19 in their last 26 road games and 9-24 in their last 33 games as an underdog. Washington has been on a terrific 18-6 run, and the Nationals are 21-6 in their last 27 games as a favorite. They have an ace going in Jordan Zimmermann (17-8), too. Play the Nationals.
