Philadelphia at Washington

Philadelphia has lost four in a row and has scored only seven runs in that span, including a 4-2 loss to the Mets on Thursday when Mark Canha continued his hot hitting against the Phillies with a go-ahead two-run homer. The Phillies will face Josiah Gray tonight and Washington has won three of his past four starts and he has pitched better than his 4-5 record indicates with a 2.77 ERA this season. The Nationals' bullpen has 17 saves and that is tied for #6 in the majors. Zack Wheeler has been somewhat inconsistent this season although he does come off eight scoreless innings against Atlanta on Saturday. The Phillies have lost 13 of 17 following a loss and they are in danger of falling into the NL East cellar against Washington. Play the Nationals as a Max Play.
