We were on the Blue Jays last night notching the 8-4 victory and I like 'em again here in their opener vs. the Phillies. Philadelphia beat Baltimore last night but they have lost seven of their last eight and 13 of 16. Tonight they hand the ball to a Adam Bernero making his first major league start this season. Last year he managed a 6.51 ERA as a relief pitcher for the Braves. There's a reason he was playing in the minors - he's not very good. The Jays start Casey Janseen who after a good start has gone cold. But, Toronto is hitting well enough to overcome this. They are scoring 5.9 per game at home. Home favorites of -125 to -175 with a cold starting pitcher (ERA over 7.00 over his last 3 starts), with an on base percentage of .393 or better over their last 3 games are 86-31 (74%) over the last 5 seasons. Also, June home favorites starting a pitcher with an ERA of 4.70 to 5.20 are 53-13 (80%) over the last 5 seasons. Toronto in this one.
