The Phillies have really hit a bad slump, having now lost six straight and eight out of nine. The pitching has been horrible, allowing five runs or more in eight of the nine games and six runs or more in seven of them. It doesn't get much better for the Phil's with Jamie Moyer getting the ball for the opener against the Rays. Moyer has a 6.35 ERA on the season. He was bounced around for ten hits and six runs vs the Blue Jays his last time out. David Price was the #1 overall pick for the Rays in the 2007 draft and he is paying dividends. Price has a 3.46 ERA through six starts and has had flashes of dominating hitters. The Rays have dominated good teams at home posting a 44-16 mark vs winning teams. The Phillies have been 0-7 with a total of 9-10.5 as their pitching has let them down and just 9-19 in their last 28 interleague road games. Lots of wiggle room here, enough to go with the Rays on the runline.
