The Phillies’ Cliff Lee and Roy Halladay at the top of the rotation are supposed to produce wins almost every time they take the mound. That certainly hasn't gone according to plan and who would have thought that Cliff Lee would be winless going into Memorial Day weekend? He is a product of a team that has difficulty producing runs, and that puts a lot of pressure on the staff to be flawless. Kevin Lohse hasn't had a problem finding the win column with a 5-1 mark, backed by a 2.91 ERA. So we have a pair of pitchers that match-up pretty well, and a Cardinals’ lineup that is superior at this point of the season, and are also at home. Getting them as a dog with a bounty of advantages shows a lot of value here. The Phillies are a woeful 1-6 behind Lee as a favorite in his last seven, while the Cardinals boast a 7-1 mark behind Lohse in his last eight in the rotation on four days of rest. Play on St. Louis.
