Philadelphia at San Francisco

Nothing has gone right for the San Francisco Giants this season at 50-74. There are some hidden signs, however, that this team has made substantial progress. They are in the toughest division in baseball, one in which three teams are likely going to make the playoffs. They have also played much better over a prolonged stretch. While they are 24 games under .500 they have been 23-23 in their last 46 games, where they are also 15-11 at home. The bad numbers for the Giants are even worse for Philadelphia who is 43-77 on the season. The Phillies have won just 19 games on the road all season, where they have now lost 10 of 13, and each of their last five.
