Philadelphia at San Diego

The high aspirations of these teams to make the playoffs are being held in check as each team has played horribly of late. The Padres are just 1-7 in its last eight games, and the Phillies check-in at 2-7 in their last nine contests, including a four-game losing streak. Matt Moore was once a hot commodity with Tampa Bay, but his career has taken a downhill turn of late. He was pitching reasonably well, but he has been dinged up in two of his last three starts. Blake Snell has taken a similar path with one exception. Snell is pitching very well right now with the Padres winning five of his last seven starts where opponents have scored more than three times just once. I like the matchup here.
