A short while ago, the Phillies had a dominating pitching staff, but age has taken its toll. One pitcher they have counted on going forward is Cole Hamels. At 30-years-old, he is still in his prime, but he certainly has taken a big step backward this season. Hamels is off a season where he went 17-6 with a 3.05 ERA, but that pitcher has left the building as he has struggled to a woeful 2-11 mark with a 4.58 ERA. Pittsburgh will be a big factor come October, and are 29-14 at home on the season. They have cleaned up against bad teams, owning a 40-17 home record in their last 57 vs. a losing club. Philly is just 3-14 in Hamel's last 17 starts, and struggle in the Steel City at 4-9 in their last 13. This is a changing of the guard, so go with Pittsburgh.
