Philadelphia at New York

The Phillies have to be feeling pretty good after routing the best team in MLB to this point in St. Louis. The Phillies crashed the party with a convincing, no contest, 9-2 win. They head to New York on that high note and take on the Yankees who saw their ace get buried in a home run derby 12-4. They will send Michael Pineda to the mound for this one. Pineda has had a good start to his season, but has been a lot more shaky in recent outings as he has seen three of his last six trips to the mound end with four or more earned runs allowed. That has translated itself to a 4.63 ERA over the last six starts, so he is far from the slam dunk the line is indicating here. Pineda has also been declining in command, after making 10 consecutive starts to open the season not walking more than one batter, his last three have all been worse than any of those 10.
