I am well aware that the Phillies ace Brett Myers is on the mound. I am also aware that Myers has a 2.75 ERA and he faces a young Mets pitching stud that only goes into his 3rd outing this year. However, baseball is about dogs and home dogs at that. Furthermore, it's about getting good teams as home dogs as then you have several angles in their favor. I have a system that looks at early season large home dogs vs. teams with below average offense and the Mets qualify here. So far this system is 8-6 for +6.2 units. A 57% system may not sound that impressive but when picking large +140 or higher dogs, that's very profitable. Don't get me wrong, the Mets may fall behind early with their young pitcher on the mound but just as they did two days ago and rallied back to take the games in extra innings, I beleive they'll make a late-inning push here. We are getting a solid Mets team as a home dog as the Phillies are 0-5 in their last 5 road games and 1-7 overall. New York has won their last 3 and are 15-7 as underdogs this year.
