The Phillies get a lot of hype in their rotation with Lee, Halladay and Oswalt, but the guy that has done the most damage to opposing hitters is today's starter Cole Hamels. Hamels is quietly 11-4 with a 2.32 ERA, going nine starts in a row without allowing more than 2 runs. The Mets counter with Jonathon Neise who has allowed 3 runs or less in 10 of his last 11 starts. It’s needless to say that the hitters will be the challenged ones in this game. Give Hamels five days of rest and the result has been 17-5 to the UNDER in his last 22. Hamels has also pitched the Phillies to a 38-18-5 mark to the UNDER as a favorite. The Mets should be obliging here as they have posted a 9-2 mark to the UNDER in their last 11 as a dog. Play the UNDER.
