The Milwaukee Brewers head home down two games to none and will attempt to stave off elimination. The Brewers have been playing tight and will face the “ageless” one in 45-year-old Jamie Moyer. It would be easy to believe at the age of 45 Moyer would be subject to diminishing returns late in the season, but the opposite has been true. Moyer is 8-1 since the All-Star break with a 3.39 ERA. He has pitched twice against the Brewers this season with success as he is 1-0 with a 3.09 ERA. Dave Bush gets the call for the Brewers, and in his two starts against the Phillies he has been touched-up for seven earned runs in just 12 innings, for a lofty 5.25 ERA. I like the Phillies to close the door on the Brewers and move on to the championship series.
