The Marlins are glad to be home after a long road trip. Teams off trips aren’t always in synch the first game back and Florida dropped its first home game in a while yesterday, 5-3, but the offense has been scoring runs - 16 the last four games. Florida starter Rick Nolasco throws well at home with a 3.88 ERA here fanning 82 in 95 innings in this park with only 23 walks. The Phillies are patting themselves on the back for last night’s win, as it marked the first time in any season in the Phillies' 129-year major-league history that they have stood 42 games above the .500 mark. This is the sixth straight road game for the Phillies and the team has said they will limit the pitches of starter Cole Hamels with such a big division lead. Hamels has a losing record against Florida and note that the home team is 9-4 in umpire John Schrieber’s last 13 games behind home plate. Play the Marlins.
