Overall, the Phillies have beaten this Dodgers team in 11 of the last 17 meetings including a 3-0 win in LA behind Hamels over Kershaw. The Phillies have been on the winning side against left-hand pitching in 29 of 45 and are plus units on the season. The Dodgers, meanwhile, at 27-20 vs. lefthanders are negative units despite the winning record indicating they've been over-valued. With at least one day of rest, the Phillies have come out with a hot hand going 30-11 and they are also taking down the big teams where they are 41-17 on the road vs. teams that have a winning percentage of .600+ at home. I like them in the dog role here where they are 6-1 in their last seven when posted as a dog of +110 to +150. I like the Phillies in game one.
