Philadelphia at Los Angeles

The Philadelphia Phillies have done their damage at home as they have a losing road mark. Philadelphia played at home yesterday, losing 5-3 to Toronto using six relievers, and this is a long road trip to the West Coast. The offense is #15 in baseball in runs scored and #18 in slugging. Starter Vince Velasquez has a losing record and has been erratic, with the team 11-23 in his last 34 starts. He comes off a loss to Atlanta, needing 89 pitches and faced 22 batters to record only 13 outs. He frequently fell behind batters, starting only nine of the 22 batters he faced with a strike. Los Angeles has turned things around and is on a nice run the two weeks. Lefty Brock Stewart (3.72 ERA) fared well in his first start of the season and the Dodgers are 49-22 at home against a team with a losing road record, as well as 49-22 versus the NL East.
