Looking back to the start of the season, the Los Angeles Angels appeared to be the underachieving group we have witnessed over the last two seasons. They stood below .500 on May 7th, but have taken off since then, compiling a 53-32 record over their last 85 games. They also have what has been one of the best starters over the last decade when pitching as a home favorite in Jered Weaver. Weaver has pitched the Angels to an 87-35 record in this role. A.J. Burnett is showing signs of age and wear as he is 6-12 on the season, but since the break he is 0-4 in five starts with a 6.66 ERA. Burnett has had little success vs. the Halos over his career where he owns a career 4.81 ERA against them. The Phillies are just 2-12 in their last 14 interleague road games as a dog, while the Angels have feasted on losing teams to the tune of a 48-17 mark in their last 65.
