Philadelphia at Cleveland

Philadelphia lost a tough one on Saturday as a misplayed popup resulted in the only run scored and the Phillies lost 1-0. Aaron Nola will start today and the Phillies have won three of his past four starts, including 4-3 over Milwaukee on Tuesday when he allowed three runs on four hits in 7 1/3 innings. Nola has a 3.05 ERA in July and that has been his best month of 2023 while giving up seven earned runs in 20 2/3 innings. Cleveland will go with Xzavion Curry in what likely will be a bullpen game as it is only his second start of the season in 25 appearances. The Phillies have won 16 of their past 21 interleague games and they still have won 15 of 20 overall on the road and they come into this game with a relatively rested bullpen.
