The Philadelphia Phillies have been getting hammered in recent play as they have been out-scored 39-15 in a six game losing streak. They do have a wild-card in this game, however, in tonight's starting pitcher, Cole Hamels. Hamels has absolutely dominated Cincinnati like no other team. He owns an 8-0 career record against them, backed by an ERA to justify the record at 1.67. His WHIP has been even more impressive at 0.91. Hamels has just one win on the season, but guess what? It came in a dominating performance over Cincinnati striking out 10 and allowing a single run on three hits. Johny Cueto has a great ERA of 1.68 on the season, but the probelm is the Reds are just not hitting, and they are just 6-6 in his 12 starts. And they now stand at 1-5 in his last six starts to a total of 6.5 or less. Hamels delivers again. Make the play on Philadelphia.
