Philadelphia at Cincinnati

Both teams are off to slow starts, but Philadelphia has been especially disappointing after going to the World Series last year. The Phillies have lost two in a row to Miami while scoring only six runs and except for a 15-run outburst on Monday, they have struggled offensively all season. Bailey Falter will make his third start and he has allowed three runs on 11 hits in 10 1/3 innings, but the Phillies bullpen has a 6.65 ERA and 1.86 WHIP with 33 walks. Cincinnati has Nick Lodolo on the mound and he shut out the Phillies for seven innings on Saturday while giving up just three hits and striking out 12. Lodolo has struck out 21 in 12 innings this year. Philadelphia has lost seven of eight road games and five straight versus left-handed starters dating to last season and it is 8-21 the past 29 meetings at Cincinnati. Take the Reds.
