Philadelphia at Atlanta

It has been a long season for the Philadelphia Phillies. This team was not only supposed to contend, but was supposed to win it all. Not even close as they find themselves in the unenviable position of 10 games under .500 through 100 games and are heading nowhere. The Braves are 13-5 over their last 18 games and have gotten outstanding pitching, allowing 7 total runs in their last four games. That has allowed the bullpen to get some much needed rest at this stage of the season. The Phillies have lost Blanton's last five starts in division play, and they have had trouble getting up off the mat after a loss at 8-21 in their last 29. The Braves have been riding momentum and are now 10-2 when following a win, and are 16-5 in their last 21 within the division. Play on Atlanta.
