Oakland at Texas

The Texas Rangers led the AL West for almost the entire season, but this team appears to be feeling the pressure. The Rangers are 1-6 in their last seven games and were swept three games at home vs. Houston coming into this series with Oakland. If the playoffs started today the Rangers would not be in them. They have a golden opportunity this weekend as they open a 3-game home series vs. MLB's worst team, the Oakland A's. Oakland will send Paul Blackburn to the mound, and he has yet to solve the Rangers. In his career, Blackburn is 0-3 vs. the Rangers with a woeful 13.50 ERA. Texas will counter with Jordan Montgomery who has a 3.64 ERA vs. the A's in 5 career starts. I like Texas.
