Oakland at Texas

Oakland has won the first two games of this series and looks for the sweep this afternoon, but it won't  be easy. The Rangers own a 150-75 record as a home favorite after a loss, which is 43-15 after two home losses, so they come back strong and win over 74% of all games in this situation. Lately that has been 14-1, and of the 14 wins they have won 10 of them by 2 runs or more. I like the favorable situation that has a history of producing a 2-1 ratio of winners to losers, and yet the odds featured here on the runline are better than 1.5 to 1 against them. That is a wide margin and some obvious value, so play Texas on the runline.
