Oakland at Texas

Oakland has lost two in a row and six of seven - and most of that was at home! Now the Athletics begin a 10-game road trip starting tonight. The Athletics completed a 1-5 homestand by losing 6-5 to the Los Angeles Angels on Thursday and have fallen five games below .500. Texas is off a bad offensive game but the Athletics are 6-20 when their opponent scores 2 or fewer runs in their previous game. Oakland is also 5-16 as a favorite of -110 to -150. Texas has righty Colby Lewis going (3.75 ERA), throwing well allowing 4, 3, 2 and 1 run in his four starts. Lewis beat Oakland on April 7th for the win when he gave up one run and three hits in six innings. The solid effort improved his career mark against Oakland to 9-3 with a 3.15 ERA in 21 career starts. And the Rangers are 9-2 after allowing 5 runs or more in their previous game. Play Texas.
