The Oakland A's have been mashing the ball all season, and when you couple that with a starting rotation that just seems to get it done most every night, what is left is a team that is 63-38 on the season, and by far the best record in baseball. The Oakland staff has allowed two runs or less in 10 of their last 17 games, and Jason Hammel has allowed three or less runs in 15 of his 20 starts on the season, so a light hitting Texas team is not likely to do much with him here tonight. Jerome Williams has become a starter, and his numbers are not good on the season with an ERA up over six, and he isn't likely to go very far here as he has pitched three innings or less out of the pen for over a month. Texas may be heading for 100 losses this season, they are an ugly 18-30 at home, and have played their worst baseball of the season over their last 32 games where they are a woeful 5-27. Oakland seldom slips as a favorite where they are 46-15 in their laast 61 in this role, and the Rangers 5-21 record in their last 26 after scoring two or less runs in their previous game does not bode well here. The A's pitching has helped them play to a 9-1-1 UNDER mark in their last 11 to a total of 9-10.5. The Rangers enter at 19-7-1 in their last 27 vs. a right hander where their lackluster offense has been even further diminished. The A's have taken six straight here. Make the play on Oakland and the UNDER in this one.
