Oakland at Texas

The Texas Rangers seem to get the pre-season nod to win the AL West every season, but Oakland has won the division the last two seasons. These teams both come into this series tied for the lead in the West with identical 15-10 records. Yu Darvish is at it again, posting a 1-0 record with a 1.61 ERA on the season, and seems to be a good candidate to win every time he takes the mound, but with one exception, vs. Oakland. The A's are 6-1 in Darvish's last seven starts against them, and his ERA stands at 4.32 in the seven games. Sonny Gray will certainly keep the A's in the game as he has impressive numbers to start 2014, 3-1 with a 2.25 ERA. Yoenis Cespedes is key for Oakland as he expects to return tonight. Oakland is 179-103 with Cespedes in the starting lineup and 26-40 when he does not start. The A's, 38-18 following a loss in their last 56, have bounced back strong. Make the play on Oakland.
