The Seattle Mariners are facing their 100th loss tonight, and there is no uncertainty as to why. The Mariners don't have a single player that has even reached the 65 RBI mark for the season. To put that in perspective, the Yankees have six with more than 65. They have relied the entire season on a good rotation and bullpen to keep them in games while they scratch for runs. That will likely be the case again tonight, facing Brett Anderson of the A's with his 2.91 ERA on the season. Anderson has made four starts vs. the weak Mariners’ lineup this season, and has been outstanding. The stat sheet shows Anderson working 26.2 innings vs. the M’s allowing just 2 runs, for a 0.67 ERA. That leaves an average (at best) A's lineup to do most of the work here. That has not happened while playing on the road where they have scored 3 or less in 44 of the 79 games. The A's are now 20-8-2 to the UNDER facing a righthander on the road, while Seattle is 36-16-1 to the UNDER in their last 53 at home. I'll ride with the UNDER here.
