Jeffrey Springs will get the start for the Athletics, and he has made only 10 starts the past two years due to Tommy John surgery, but he is known for having reasonable control and finished with a 3.27 ERA in 33 innings in 2024. Luis Castillo went 11-12 for Seattle, which didn't make enough moves in the offseason to move up much in the AL West. They did hire a new manager, Dan Wilson.
