Barry Zito was a huge bust his first few years in San Francisco, but he has regained the magic and is pitching as good as he did in Oakland. Zito has made 12 starts with ten of the 12 relinquishing just three runs or less. Ben Sheets took some time to get things going after allowing 19 runs in just 13.1 innings covering his first three starts. He has since been back to the Ben Sheets we know, stingy. He has pitched to a 3.48 ERA since those opening three starts. The A's are playing decidedly low against lefthand pitching, failing to top the total in seven straight. Zito is issuing blanks when posted as a home favorite from -110 to -150 as just one of the last 11 have topped the total. I'll play this one UNDER the total.
