Oakland at San Francisco

San Francisco had won four in a row before losing 5-2 to the Athletics, who hit four homers on Tuesday night. Oakland still is just 19-37 on the road and the Giants are 32-23 at home. Logan Webb has pitched better at home where he owns a 3.00 ERA allowing 20 earned runs in 60 innings. The Giants have won Webb's past four starts against AL West opponents and they have won five straight against a starter with a WHIP of 1.30 or greater. Ross Stripling's has a ghastly 1.58 WHIP along with a 6.02 ERA. The Athletics have lost nine of his 12 starts and he has allowed 22 earned runs his past five outings in only 21 innings pitched. He was activated from the injured list and pitched for the first time since May 24, but gave up five runs in 5 2/3 innings against the Angels on Thursday. Oakland has lost Stripling's past five starts with five days rest. Take the Giants as my July Game of the Month.
