Last night both these teams exploded for a combined 24 runs, so the oddsmakers are hanging a double-digit total on this one. Often times we see teams empty the bats one night and come up empty the next. The Yankees were expected to be all hit and no pitch this year, but things have been different. They were posted to ten totals of ten or higher through May 10th, and have since seen just one total of ten or more six times and none since June 26th, a month ago. The A's haven't played to a total of ten the entire season and the last time they played to a total of ten or more was on August 28th, 2009! Clearly this one is a serious overlay based on last night. I like the UNDER here. I also like the Yankees. Rick Harden has not pitched much again this season and as a road dog he has faltered, with his team now 4-11 in his last 15 road starts. The A's haven't mustered much in this role either as they come into this one at 16-44 in their last 60 as a road dog. The Yanks have picked apart the AL West where they are now 10-1 in their last 11 against them and the A's have been over-matched by the Yankees having gone 15-37 in the last 52 meetings. I like New York and the UNDER here.
