The Twins may be down right now, and have been out of contention for a lengthy time. But this isn't the type of team that goes down easy as we witnessed last night. Sonny Gray has pitched better than his record for Oakland, as he is 2-3 with a 2.51 ERA. The problem for Gray is that he has not adapted well in his young career to pitching on the road, where the numbers fall to 0-2 with a 5.40 ERA. Mike Pelfrey has lacked consistency this season, but has allowed just a single run in two of his last three outings, and the Twins are 5-2 in his last seven home starts. Minnesota has been a thorn in the side of AL West opponents all season, and most recently that mark has moved to 5-1 with last night's win. Gray has shown nothing on the road, while the Twins are winning at home behind Pelfrey, so play on Minnesota.
