The Minnesota Twins have been at or near the basement in the AL Central for a few years. Despite bolstering their rotation some, they are still a few arms short. That has not caught up to them yet, as the offense has started the season blistering hot, producing just shy of 6 runs per game to start the season. One of those arms is Phil Hughes, and he has pitched average against the A's, but the Twins are swinging the bats well enough to compete in this one.
