Oakland lost its third straight and the hapless Athletics have scored more than two runs just twice their past 10 games and they have been outscored 16-1 in this series against the Marlins. Luis Arraez had three doubles, two singles and five RBIs in Miami's 12-1 win on Saturday and he now is batting .390. The Marlins have won seven of 10 and are within three games of first-place Atlanta in the NL East and they have Sandy Alcantara on the mound today and he has a .210 opponent batting average in six home starts this season. Only one Oakland hitter has ever seen Alcantara, who hasn't been as dominant as he was last year, but he has generally given the Marlins six or seven innings.
