Oakland at Los Angeles

The Los Angeles Angels were odds-on favorite to win the AL West the past two years, but the Oakland A's have won it both years. The A's looked to be on their way again, but then the Angels finally seemed to get to the level of their talent, and have passed the A's and now own a two game lead over them. Jered Weaver has been close to automatic when pitching as a home favorite over the course of his career, boasting of a record of 88-35. That is a pretty strong track record, and one that has held form this season with the Halos at 10-5 when he takes the rubber as home chalk. Oakland has struggled, posting a 6-11 mark in their last 17 games, and lost the opener here last night. The A's are just 2-7 in their last nine on the road, and the A's have done little to solve Weaver over the years at 3-11 in their last 14 against him. Play on the Angels.
