Oakland at Los Angeles

It takes resolve to win at sports betting and this game is a perfect example. It's very easy to pick Dan Haren and the Angels here and extremely difficult to back the A's. But that's what we are going to do because, over time, it's the dogs that build the bankroll in baseball and the big favorites that eat it up. While it appears that Oakland doesn't have a lot going for them, let's not lose site of the fact that this team has held opponents to .237 batting and just 3.4 runs per game on the season. Their bullpen has been outstanding, especially on the road where they own a 1.78 ERA. With the Angels averaging just 2.9 runs per game at home this season, Oakland has a fighter's chance. Since last season, the Angels are just 30-32 as a favorite of -125 to -175 and they are just 17-23 over that span with Dan Haren on the rubber. I'm on the Athletics in this one.
